Integrating a campus
IT serves a thriving community with varied and multiple technical needs. Students need access to registration and grading systems, faculty members need access to course preparation and research data management systems, staff members need access to payroll and facilities systems, and the entire campus needs access to email, wireless networks, telephones, scheduling, and management systems every day. The planning, installation, and maintenance of the numerous IT systems is at the core of supporting the WPI campus.
In concert with IT Governance and the Unified Digital Campus Committee, Information Technology coordinates inbound, outbound, and custom solutions for campus partners utilizing Banner enterprise resources planning (ERP). With Banner as the hub, IT is able to integrate multiple technical solutions for students, faculty, and staff.
