WPI to Host 9th Annual BattleCry Robotics Competition May 9-10

Students from 60 high schools around the Northeast will compete May 9 and 10 in BattleCry@WPI 9, one of the largest robotics contests in New England. The competition, held in WPI's Harrington Auditorium, offers high school FIRST robotics teams the chance to test their skills and technical expertise in postseason competition.

WPI will recognize its successful part-time MBA program, which was ranked No. 1 one in the Northeast and No. 9 in the U.S. by the national publication BusinessWeek last year, with an "Evening of Celebration" on Tuesday, April 29, featuring John Byrne, BusinessWeek's executive editor.

WPI and President Dennis Berkey Receive the Bowditch Award from Worcester Business Development Corp.

WPI and President Dennis Berkey received the Bowditch Award from the Worcester Business Development Corp. at the organiztion's annual meeting on April 23. The award recognized the university and Dr. Berkey's visionary leadership in the development of Gateway Park--in particular, the WPI Life Sciences and Bioengineering Center.
