Keynote Speaker: Matt Ferguson

Matt Ferguson is an entrepreneurial, roll-up-the-sleeves leader and action-oriented decision-maker with a track record of success in helming digital product strategy and solution development, customer experience evolution, and the development of pioneering customer engagement transformation. He is committed to transforming revenue, brand strength, acquisition, and customer excitement through digital transformation, product strategy, and go-to-market impact. He builds global teams with the philosophy that the best organizations are built by ideas from every individual in that organization.
Currently the CEO/CDO of Right Side Shift, a digital strategy firm based in Boston, he leads cross-organization business transformation engagements utilizing AI-based technology/data, CX, process, and revenue increasing cost modelling. As an example, he has transformed Sonesta Hotels by running a multi-year, full-organization digital transformation utilizing Agile methodologies, a modern tech stack, customer journey based service designs and new web and mobile applications. Other clients include ViacomCBS, HP, Dunkin’ Brands, Biogen, and American Girl.
Digital Transformation Across All Industries
As Digital Strategy Lead at Biogen, he led digital strategy and design and development of a digital health solution for a high visibility, high-stakes initiative that supported Biogen’s ability to relaunch TYSABRI. Leading digital front-end design and build for a TOUCH Prescribing Program, he delivered a patient-centric interface complete with educational materials, patient tracking, and other online capabilities.
Following the initial relaunch, he played an integral role as Head of Digital in advancing patient trust, brand engagement and therapy adoption worldwide for all products by pioneering new channels for patient outreach and community building, while continuing to improve patient/user experience.
Key to this success was Matt’s pioneering thought leadership in leveraging video, mobile, and social media channels to advance this agenda, resulting in the build of an enterprise-wide media strategy and storytelling digital platform that changed the game in patient engagement.
Following this success, he joined Eliassen as Vice President, Managing Director to build, operationalize, and scale the managed services provider’s Creative consulting and staffing arm of the business, where he promoted design-centered thinking across the organization and expanded UX and design capabilities within growth markets, resulting in substantial revenue growth.
Joining Randstad/Monster Worldwide as Senior Vice President of Digital and Product in 2018, he further expanded his capabilities to tackle challenging enterprise initiatives by transforming the company’s customer experience for a global employment native mobile and web application platform to better serve a dual-sided marketplace.
Matt completed his BS degree in Mathematics and Computer Science at Florida Atlantic University. He is on the boards of Sizigi, Boston Private Industry Council, and United Nations Global Compact. Committed to community service, he is a volunteer at Speak Your Mind Foundation, Cradles to Crayons, Habitat for Humanity, Greater Boston Food Bank, and No Kid Hungry.
