WPI’s pre-collegiate programs are designed to pique interest and expand knowledge in young minds. The university offers one of the nation’s preeminent university-based K-12 STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) outreach programs to elementary, middle, and high school students.

Academic programs range from introductory STEM courses to robotics and math competitions, plus the humanities and arts. They are offered both during the school year and over the summer by WPI faculty and staff along with area educators. WPI also offers sports camps where students can develop athletic skills.
Over the past 10 years, WPI has helped girls and boys explore the STEM field while honing leadership and collaborative skills, building confidence, and encouraging friendships. WPI enables students to pursue their passions and position themselves for success in higher education, a career, and life.
