Title: A Mathematical Framework for Biomechanics in a 3D Cell Migrating on a Flat Substrate

Abstract: Cell migration is essential in wound healing, immune response, and cancer metastasis. This work presents a 3D computational model of migrating cells that incorporates viscoelastic mechanics, protrusion, focal adhesion dynamics, and intracellular interactions. Simulations reproduce realistic migration behavior and force patterns, while sensitivity analyses identify key mechanical drivers. The framework is extended to include nuclear mechanics under confinement, providing insight into deformation and force generation during confined migration.
