Title: Can algebra be applied?
Abstract: This talk will explore how the powerful tools of algebraic geometry can be applied to tackle real-world challenges. We will examine how seemingly abstract concepts, such as algebraic varieties, equations, and semi-algebraic sets, can provide valuable insights into the practical properties of mathematical models. I will focus on the applications of algebra in statistics and machine learning, and discuss my work in these rapidly advancing fields
