Title: Discrete Quantum Walks with Marked Vertices and Their Average Vertex Mixing Matrices

Abstract: In Discrete Quantum Walks (DQW), we can choose to "mark" vertices. This affects the Average Mixing Matrix $\widehat{M}$ and therefore, the likelihood that a quantum walk will "land" on the marked vertices from a particular initial state; as compared to an "unmarked" DQW. We discuss upper/lower bounds on the entries of $\widehat{M}$, and when these bounds are tight -- it depends on the subgraphs from deleting the marked vertices and/or edges in the set of marked vertices.
