On May 4, 2026, the Teacher Preparation Program (TPP) celebrated its graduating seniors at the annual bridging event, held at Higgins House. Surrounded by family, faculty, peers, and friends, students marked this milestone during a capstone ceremony featuring reflections from alumni and mentor teachers, who spoke to each candidate’s growth and accomplishments while student-teaching. The presentation of pins, certificates, and student-designed yearbooks was followed by a lively reception filled with shared memories, well wishes, and of course, cake!

This year’s cohort holds special significance for Director Jillian DiBonaventura, as they entered the program the same year she joined the WPI faculty. Their insight, feedback, and commitment to excellence have played an important role in shaping the TPP and strengthening its vibrant teaching community.

Three graduates, Lucas Dion, Samantha Simmons, and Jesse Drozd will begin their teaching careers this fall, while Brooke Adams, Wilson Gramer, and Vaansh Mansharamani will continue their graduate studies at WPI. Sarah Roberge is excited to begin her career in industry, and Jacob Kinkead is exploring the next steps in his journey.

The STEM Education Center faculty and staff proudly celebrate these graduates and look forward to the many ways they will make a difference in the years ahead!
