Title: Determinantal ideals, Chip-firing and Zero-forcing number of graphs.

Abstract:  In this talk, we will describe a couple of discrete dynamical systems on graphs. Namely, the chip-firing and the zero-forcing processes.
Then, we will relate these games on the graph with an algebraic invariant, called the algebraic co-rank, defined through the determinantal ideals of the graph.
More precisely, as we explore some examples, we will see how that the algebraic co-rank works as a bound for different concepts.
Finally, we will see a brief description of known results, as well as open problems.
