Launching the Next 100 Years: Industry, Innovation & the Future of Space
5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Join us for a special University Lecture commemorating the 100th anniversary of Robert H. Goddard’s historic rocket launch. His pioneering work transformed humanity’s relationship with space and launched a century of discovery and innovation.
This University Lecture, open to the public for the first time, will feature a dynamic panel discussion exploring the future of space travel—highlighting how bold ideas become real-world breakthroughs. Leaders from industry, research, and finance will examine how public and private partnerships are expanding access to space, how emerging technologies and artificial intelligence are accelerating innovation, and how advances beyond Earth are shaping jobs, economies, and everyday life here at home.
Students, alumni, faculty, and community members are invited to celebrate WPI’s legacy of innovation while engaging in a forward-looking conversation about new frontiers of exploration and the human impact of living and working beyond our planet.
