Title: Quantifying extrinsic and intrinsic noise in single-cell molecular dynamics.
Abstract: In the talk, I shall introduce our recent work on developing machinelearning-based methods for quantifying two types of noise in noisy cellular dynamics: extrinsic noise (heterogeneity among cells for the same underlying biophysical model) and intrinsic noise (intrinsic fluctuation in the stochastic process characterizing cellular dynamics). I will then discuss how to apply my methods to reconstruct stochastic processes in cellular dynamics such as the Langevin dynamics and fluctuations in protein count from data.
