Revisiting Recounting the Rationals
Abstract: We'll discuss the tree of all fractions, and it's use in re-proving that the rationals are not only countable, but that the listing itself is effectively computable. We'll also look for real numbers hiddin in the tree structure. Some of these ideas are joint work with recent WPI graduate, Ben Gobler.
