SOAR Series Panel 2: Manufacturing USA Institutes (MII)
11:00 am to 12:00 pm
WPI’s “purpose-driven research” strategy provides a thriving supportive environment for applied research that focusses on translating scientific discoveries into real-world solutions. Governments, private companies, and nonprofit organizations, each with distinct priorities and objectives, all fund applied research. This SOAR series will feature panel discussions that highlight several of these funding opportunities, with faculty members who have successfully secured research funding sharing their experiences.
The Manufacturing USA institutes harness the power of public-private partnerships to drive innovation, bolster domestic supply chains, and cultivate a skilled workforce in order to solidify U.S. global leadership in advanced manufacturing. The following WPI awardees will discuss their success in engaging with the different institutes.
- Danielle Cote, Advanced Manufacturing for Robotics Institute (ARM)
- Pratap Rao, Flexible Hybrid Electronics, NextFlex
- Susan Roberts, National Institute for Innovation in Manufacturing Biopharmaceuticals (NIIMBL)
- Andrew Teixeira, Rapid Advancement in Process Intensification Deployment Institute (RAPID)
This event will be held on Zoom. Registration is required.
