Professor Alexander Wyglinski to Join Brookings Panel Discussion on Connected Cars May 5
Alexander Wyglinski, associate dean of Graduate Studies and professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, will participate in an upcoming panel discussion titled “Innovation, Connectivity, and Infrastructure,” as part of the webinar “The Future of Connected Cars” on May 5 (2–4 p.m. EDT). The event is hosted by the Brookings Institution as part of its 17th annual A. Alfred Taubman Forum on Public Policy and can be watched online.
The webinar will examine how rapidly evolving vehicle technologies are reshaping mobility, infrastructure, and public policy. Topics will include advancements in safety features and digital interfaces, as well as emerging challenges related to data, privacy, and accountability in connected transportation systems. A recognized expert in wireless systems and project-based education, Wyglinski brings to the discussion extensive experience in connected and autonomous vehicle research.
“I am excited to share insights on connected vehicle technology, much of which stems from innovative, project-based research and teaching with graduate and undergraduate students here at WPI,” Wyglinski said. “I look forward to contributing these perspectives to this important conversation.”
