Convocation (formally Baccalaureate) occurs immediately after the Class of 2024 crosses over Earle Bridge on Tuesday, May 7. Convocation is planned and performed by members of the Class of 2024, and offers a quieter, more intimate opportunity to pause and reflect on the past few years. The program includes speakers sharing their reflections and experiences during their time at WPI, as well as musical and dance performances for all class years.

As this is a wonderful event celebrating your fellow students achievements, all members of the Class of 2024 are encouraged to attend.

The Convocation Program

It is the last time for the Class of 2024 to be together as a class before their graduation.

On Tuesday, May 7th, 2024, members of the Class of 2024 will gather in regalia at 1:30 on the walkway behind Harrington and the Innovation Studio.

At approximately 2:00, the Processional will cross Earle Bridge, where faculty will be waiting. From Earle Bridge, the Processional will move to Harrington Auditorium for Convocation. While Convocation is a student-only event, parents or friends may observe the Earle Bridge Crossing from Beech Tree Circle.

The 60 minute Convocation program is being planned by the student-led committee. After Convocation, Faculty are welcome to join the Class on the Quad for photos and Ice Cream.
