Disasters serve as focusing events, providing opportunity to reassess practices, policies and animate the human decisions that make communities vulnerable to climate-related disasters.
Join us for a presentation by Lisa Stoddard, Associate Professor of Teaching for The Global School, who set out to understand the relationship between animal agriculture and climate change, focusing on impacts of disasters and common disaster management practices in Canada. Research examined the Abbotsford Flood, the largest-ever agricultural and animal welfare disaster in British Columbia history.
