WPI Music Series presents: The Hinge Quartet
This Boston-based hybrid ensemble presents BRIGHT, a propulsive program of contemporary works exploring communal expressions of kinetic energy. Centered around Louis Andriessen’s canonic warhorse Hout and Annie Hui-Hsin Hsieh’s electroacoustic sound sculpture Effervescence, this concert also features music by Caroline Mallonee and John Mayrose. Additionally, we will be giving the world premiere of Motivation -> Movement by WPI’s very own Scott Barton where the ensemble will be joined by the musical robot PAM.
