On behalf of the Dean of Graduate Studies, the Graduate Admissions Office, the International Students and Scholars Office, and the Dean of Students Office, Welcome to WPI!
Today’s orientation program for incoming graduate students is designed to help you launch your academic and professional success, while also providing the opportunity to meet and socialize with your peers. The orientation will feature presentations on a variety of campus resources and services available to graduate students, including career and professional development, academic support, campus safety and transportation, as well as social activities and health and well-being.
The orientation will be inside Alden Hall. A light breakfast will be provided from 8-8:30 AM. Following the orientation presentations, new graduate students will participate in a celebratory induction ceremony, walking across the Boynton bridge and welcomed by WPI faculty and staff. A welcome BBQ lunch will be provided following the induction ceremony. A campus resource fair will occur during lunch, and new graduate students are encouraged to stop by the tables to visit with local banks, Student Development and Counseling, Health Center, Residential Services, Disability Student Services, Library Staff, Information Technology, Career Development Center, Student Activities, Writing Center, and Campus Police, among many others.
