This is a continuation of the We Are Phoenix performance held on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2026.
The concert will open with scenes from an opera inspired by the life of pioneering female astronomer Maria Mitchell, performed by URI opera students; then move into three solo works, including a piano solo by WPI student Anna Musteata and a solo cello piece featuring Professor Joshua Rohde; before closing with the RI premiere of We Are Phoenix for choir, orchestra, and projections.
Following the performances, audiences are invited to stay for a post-concert conversation with the composer, offering a unique opportunity to hear directly from one of today's most widely performed living choral composers.
