Kramer Elwell
(He/Him/His)Dr. Kramer Elwell is a composer, sound designer, and multimedia artist specializing in production design and audio narrative. He joined WPI in 2025 and is currently a Visiting Assistant Teaching Professor in the Interactive Media & Game Development Program. His research explores audio as a narrative catalyst and interface, digital archival practices, human-computer interaction, installation art, interdisciplinary collaboration, and sound studies.
Kramer's audio works have been performed internationally at such conferences as: Festival l’Espace du Son, The International Computer Music Conference, the Daegu International Computer Music Festival, Simpósio Internacional de Música Nova, The New York City Electroacoustic Music Festival, The SEAMUS National Conference, Electronic Music Midwest, and many more. Several of his sound artworks have received honors in competitions such as the Metamorphoses International Acousmatic Composition Competition, the Musica Nova International Competition, and Citta’ di Udine International Competition. He has also been an Artist-in-Residence with such organizations as: The Glen Arbor Arts Association, the Atlantic Center for the Arts, and the Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts.
