Liberal Arts & Engineering

College graduates are being asked to perform in a multidisciplinary world in which diverse skills are required to meet increasingly diverse challenges. WPI’s Liberal Arts & Engineering (LAE) degree program prepares students to take on those challenges by providing a broader base of knowledge not only in engineering, but in other disciplines as well. The LAE degree was created for students seeking a career that demands engineering know- how, communication tools, and problem-solving skills. Our students graduate with a strong technical background, a broad appreciation of the humanities, and a critical awareness of social implications.
