Minor in Industrial Engineering

Vital to any organization’s survival and growth in a global, competitive world, Industrial Engineering helps organizations gain efficiencies and improve processes. The WPI minor in Industrial Engineering will provide you with fundamental skills and knowledge that will complement your chosen major. An easy link between the curricula in engineering and business, the minor expands your ability to tackle business decisions and problems using engineering techniques.
The Industrial Engineering minor is available to students in any major at WPI except for those majoring in Industrial Engineering.

Curriculum
The Industrial Engineering (IE) minor requires the completion of six courses in the areas of IE tools and knowledge. Visit the catalog to learn about course options.
Application Process
To declare an Industrial Engineering minor, first fill out the Minor Declaration Form and submit electronically to business-prog-office@wpi.edu. We will forward the completed form to the Registrar’s office.
The Minor Completion Form should be completed by October 1st of senior year, regardless of completion of courses. Please submit the form electronically to business-prog-office@wpi.edu. We will forward the completed form to the Registrar’s office.
