Liz Desrosiers, Donna Taylor, and Mia Dubosarsky at the WPI STEM Education Center exhibitor table during the MAST conference
The STEM Education Center contributed to a strong WPI presence at the Massachusetts Association of Science Teachers (MAST) annual conference on November 5. Donna Taylor and Mia Dubosarsky with consulting educators, Tiffany Davis and Brian LaPointe, presented two sessions to rooms filled to capacity.
One session, AI in the Science Classroom: Supporting Student Learning and Teacher Productivity, provided K-12 science teachers and leaders with tools, prompts, and tasks to increase productivity, differentiate instruction, and connecting science teaching to real world problems. Another session, A Taste of Elementary OpenSciEd, demonstrated the key elements of the high-quality science curriculum (for which the STEM Education Center is a certified professional learning provider). We thank Liz Desrosiers from Grad Studies for supporting the exhibitor table with information about the new Master’s program for teachers: MS in Integrated STEM Education.
