Bringing together theory and practice, the recent publication of Cases in Career Services:  A Working Guide for Practitioners by the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) features two chapters co-authored by Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) colleagues from the Career Development Center, Office of Corporate Partnerships, and Undergraduate Admissions.

In "Enrollment Strategies:  Connecting Admissions and Career Services" Jen Cluett, Amanda Laungani, and Stefan Koppi all at WPI, and Jennifer Benz, from Miami University of Ohio, compare and contrast the work of these offices and highlight different models for collaboration.

"Transactional to Strategic:  Transforming University-Employer Relationships Through Career Services" chronicles the design, implementation, and results of a new approach to engaging employers by co-authors David Ortendahl and Stefan Koppi at WPI, and Bailey Rand, now at Radancy, a talent technology and recruitment marketing firm.

Cases in Career Services, edited by Heather Maietta, Ed.D., and is available from NACE: https://www.naceweb.org/store/2021/nace-cases-in-career-services-a-working-guide-for-practitioners/

The volume provides insight and guidance on principles of effective career services management in higher education through real-world case studies outlining the challenges and opportunities facing the profession today.

Congratulations to the co-authors on their contributions to this professional dialog reflecting on some of WPI's innovative practices in higher education.
