The Gordon Library has purchased electronic access to some 280 engineering journal backfiles. We have had access from 1995 to present for these journals; now we have perpetual access all the way back to the first issues!
The archival packages, from Elsevier, a prominent scientific publisher, are Engineering & Technology (package title list) and Materials Science (package title list). In 2018, WPI had over 6,000 turnaways to the critical content in these packages.
The Engineering & Technology digital archive includes 171 titles, including such in-demand titles as Fire Safety Journal; Energy and Buildings; Wear; and Construction and Building Materials.
The Materials Science package contains 111 highly used titles including Materials Science & Engineering; Surface & Coatings Technology; Materials Letters; Ceramics International; Polymer; and Thin Solid Films.
