Commencement

Hello, Class of 2024 Graduates!

We look forward to celebrating with all of our graduates on Thursday, May 9 and Friday, May 10 at our Commencement ceremonies

As you know, the ticketing portal closed on April 22 at 11:59 pm. Due to the number of people that we are expecting for the Undergraduate Ceremony on May 10, we are not able to offer any additional tickets in a lottery to undergraduates.

The May 9 Graduate Ceremony is smaller in number, and we can offer additional tickets to students who entered into the lottery process. We will connect with graduate students about that specific process soon.

The Commencement website has information on the important events below

  • Wednesday, May 1: All members of the Class of 2024 should attend the Send-Off and Toast from 5 to 7 pm on the Quad. Join your classmates for music, photos, and a Presidential Toast!
  • Tuesday, May 7: The Processional, Earl Bridge Crossing, and Convocation begin at 2 pm. Please arrive at the fountain between 1 and 1:30 pm in your Regalia for directions on where to go to begin the processional to be greeted by faculty and staff as you cross the bridge. An Ice Cream Social will follow the Convocation program.
  • Wednesday, May 8: The ROTC Commissioning Program is at 3 pm in Alden Memorial Great Hall. All are welcome.
  • Thursday, May 9: The Graduate Commencment Ceremony begins at 5 pm. If you reserved transportation, your Hub account will identify the time and location for your bus. If traveling on your own, you must be at the DCU Center by 4 pm.
  • Friday, May 10: The Undergraduate Commencment Ceremony begins at 2 pm. If you reserved transportation, your Hub account will identify the time and location for your bus. If traveling on your own, you must be at the DCU Center by 1 pm

Other important information:

  • Regalia may be picked up at the bookstore in the Rubin Campus Center during normal business hours until May 10. All students attending the Earle Bridge Crossing and graduation must wear WPI regalia.
  • Honor Cords: If you are graduating with academic honors, you will receive confirmation from the Registrar on where to pick up your cords.
  • NameCoach: Please log into NameCoach by April 28 to record your name. This ensures your name is announced correctly at your Commencement ceremony.
