Registration open for NEFDC Fall Conference on Authentic Learning

The New England Faculty Development Consortium (NEFDC) is holding its fall conference in-person at College of the Holy Cross, right here in Worcester, on Friday, October 21 from 8:30am to 3:30pm. The conference theme is Authentic Learning: Developing Students as Independent Thinkers. The program includes keynote speaker Dr. Jose Antonio Bowen, Senior Fellow at AAC&U, recipient of the 2018 Ernest L Boyer Award for significant contributions to American higher education, and author of several books including his most recent, Teaching Change: How to Develop Independent Thinkers Using Relationships, Resilience, and Reflection. A workshop will follow the keynote, along with 50-min interactive sessions, 25-min teaching tips, poster sessions, and conversation with regional educators over lunch.
