Home to the first master’s program and one of only three fire protection engineering (FPE) graduate programs in the nation, the Fire Protection Engineering Department at WPI has driven significant cutting-edge research, developed real-world solutions through its state-of-the-art fire laboratories, and graduated highly trained, influential, in-demand experts.

Friday, May 17
9:00 AM to 12:45 PM – Registration, Provost's Presentation, Current FPE Research, Lab Tour, Coffee & Breaks
12:45 PM to 1:45 PM – Luncheon celebrating FPE's history; conversation about FPE's important Fundraising Initiatives
2:00 to 3:00 PM – Student Award Winners – Igniting Innovation Challenge – Funded by the Duane D. Pearsall Endowment for Fire Protection Engineering
4:30 to 6:00 PM – Pre-dinner Reception
6:00 to 9:00 PM – Dinner Program with a Welcome by President Wang, Recognition of FPE Department Founders, Emmons Award Recipient and Drysdale Award Presentaitons, and a look forward on the FPE Department's Vision
