Meet the Team

Mary Beth is the Associate CIO for Academic Technologies. She provides leadership to the Academic Technology Center (ATC) in the delivery of technologies used to support teaching and learning in face-to-face, online and hybrid courses as well as event related AV and multimedia support across campus. Mary Beth also oversees the Desktop Services team in the delivery of endpoint device management, academic software distribution and technical support and procurement of IT equipment. She holds a BA from the College of the Holy Cross and a Master’s degree from the University of Massachusetts at ...

Isaac is a member of the AV Systems Engineering team and assists with the installation, preventative maintenance, documentation of instructions, inventory and user support of campus AV equipment and infrastructure in classrooms, project collaboration suites, administrative locations and campus event spaces. 

Caleb is responsible for the development and maintenance of data applications and custom reporting for WPI’s Canvas instance with enterprise systems to support the institution's strategic and pedagogical goals.

Kate's primary responsibility is to lead the ATC’s outreach efforts to the WPI community with regards to the use of instructional technologies in teaching and learning. Kate also collaborates with academic departments concerning the policies, planning, and management of e-learning and blended initiatives on campus.

Jolene contributes to the Technology for Teaching & Learning team's collaborative efforts to support faculty, staff, and students on the application of technology to teaching and learning activities, specializing in web conferencing tools.

Alex assists with AV equipment reservations for academic use by students, faculty, and staff. He also provides oversight of ATC equipment inventory and assists with setting up and operating AV equipment at various locations on campus to support university initiatives.

Tim is a member of the AV Systems Engineering team and assists with the design, purchasing, installation, maintenance and user support of campus AV equipment and infrastructure in classrooms, project collaboration suites, administrative locations and campus event spaces.

Pronouns: He/Him/HisMike supports faculty and student use of several instructional technologies including engagement, polling and survey tools, and infographics. Mike also develops a number of resources to address teaching and learning challenges and assists with the development and delivery of workshops with instructional technology-related themes.

Nick is a member of the AV Systems Engineering team and assists with the design, purchasing, installation, maintenance and user support of campus AV equipment and infrastructure in classrooms, project collaboration suites, administrative locations and campus event spaces.

Caitlin is responsible for coordinating the design, development and implementation of online, blended, or technology-enhanced courses and faculty training in current pedagogical practices.

Ellen supplies frontline support for the ATC inventory, production requests and other ATC services.

Jim supports faculty, staff, and students on the use of instructional technologies including visual presentations, graphics, multimedia content, online course materials, and animations. He also works with faculty to identify appropriate hardware and software to meet their needs.

Valerie is responsible for coordinating the design, development and implementation of online, blended, or technology-enhanced courses and faculty training in current pedagogical practices.

Dave manages service and support for the university's campus-wide AV infrastructure, end-user AV systems and other related technology applications in support of classroom activities and campus events. He also works closely with faculty and other appropriate IT staff to provide the best solutions for the daily services that the ATC delivers.

Lindsey leads the ATC outreach and support efforts for Canvas, WPI's Learning Management System. She works with faculty and students in their use of the LMS to address teaching and learning challenges. Lindsey also develops a number of instructional technology resources for faculty and assists with the development and delivery of workshops on instructional technology projects.
