Parents Association

The WPI Parents Association gives parents an opportunity to be involved in activities designed to have a positive impact on WPI students. Through the Association, parents are able to become involved in a meaningful way with the school to which their children will forever be connected. 

All WPI parents of enrolled undergraduate students are members of the Parents Association and are encouraged to review Parents Association opportunities and to consider some form of involvement. You know how quickly four years passes – remember how fast the last eighteen just went? Don’t delay, get involved and make an impact before the opportunity is over.

Mission and Initiatives

The WPI Parents Association is dedicated to enhancing the partnership between the University and parents. Our focus is on engaging parents with other parents and the University, while initiating parent programs which reflect the mission of the University.

Who can be a member?

All parents of WPI undergraduate and graduate students are automatically members of the WPI Parents Association.

How are officers selected?

Officers are selected to serve a one-year term. 

When are the meetings?

The Parents Association meets twice each year—once in the fall and once in the spring.

How can parents get involved?

  • Parents interested in a leadership role on the Parents Association Executive Committee should contact Elizabeth Chirico at ejchirico@wpi.edu for more information.
  • Various areas of the university use parent volunteers to enhance their programs and offerings. The Parents Association supports these endeavors and would gladly assist in identifying a volunteer opportunity.
