The WPI Parents and Friends Association gives parents an opportunity to be involved in activities designed to have a positive impact on WPI students. Through the Association, parents/guardians are able to become involved in a meaningful way with the university to which their student will forever be connected.

Parents and Friends Association

Mission and Initiatives

The WPI Parents and Friends Association is dedicated to enhancing the partnership between the University and parents/guardians through events, programs, and opportunities reflecting the mission of the University. The Parents and Friends Association is an affinity program with members having an exclusive relationship with the Division of University Advancement, and serve as ambassadors of the University in support of its initiatives and priorities. Members have a keen interest in volunteering for University Advancement-sponsored opportunities and programs, and may be in collaboration with divisions across campus.

Who can be a member?

Parents/guardians of enrolled WPI undergraduate and graduate students, having an interest in volunteerism and looking to connect with other parents, are eligible to be members of the WPI Parents and Friends Association.

When are the meetings?

Parents and Friends Association members meet occasionally throughout the academic year.

How can parents get involved?

Various areas of the University utilize parent volunteers to enhance their programs and offerings. The Parents and Friends Association supports University Advancement programs and endeavors, in addition to University-wide collaborative events, such as Family Weekend. Collectively we form an organization that impacts, and is a resource for, the entire WPI community. If you would like to learn more about volunteer opportunities and become a member of the Parents and Friends Association, please complete the Parent Interest Volunteer Form or inquire with Maureen Maynard at mmaynard@wpi.edu.
