Atifa is a lecturer from Pakistan and worked at the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences in her home country. She holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science with Magna Cum Laude (distinction) and master’s in information technology. She is currently a Fulbright scholar and pursue her Ph.D. in computer science at Worchester Polytechnic Institute focusing on artificial intelligence. She is also an active member of PWiC (Pakistan Women in Computing) - a global community of women in tech that aims to inspire, mentor and create opportunities for girls to be part of tech. She plans to return to her home country after completing her studies to work on solutions that can contribute towards the betterment of human life.
