Dr. Chisholm's research interests lie in the use of mathematical modeling and simulation to understand fundamental problems in fluid mechanics, interfacial phenomena (like the effect of surfactants on oil-water interfaces), colloidal suspensions, active matter, and biomechanics. From a technical perspective, his work involves the application of partial differential equations, integral equations, asymptotic methods, and numerical analysis to predict the behavior of (bio)physical systems.
