Chia (Robinson) Hsu
MBA, Business Administration

Description

Chia knew WPI’s MBA program offered potential for growth that other schools didn’t. With a background in high-tech manufacturing and a passion for engineering, she was intrigued by WPI’s engineering and business approach because it mirrored her own need to understand the intersection of business and technology.

WPI’s emphasis on using collaborative teamwork to solve problems was an unexpected bonus for her. Figuring out the intricacies of teamwork is challenging, but she is mastering it, thanks to the more than 20 teamwork projects. She’s discovering how social interactions and team dynamics fit together for a successful project outcome.

She believes her MBA will bring opportunities she hasn’t even considered yet. A foundation in technology and business will help her launch into a new industry or perhaps find a different path in a familiar area such as supply chain management. With guidance from Elizabeth Long Lingo, assistant professor in the Business School, Chia is happy to meet rigorous program expectations and her own career goals.
