America India Foundation Service Corps Fellowship

Each year, the American India Foundation awards around twenty, nine-month fellowships beginning in September of each year. Fellows do hands-on development work with world-class nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) throughout India. Fellows work in a variety of development areas including education, livelihood, public health, sustainable agriculture, and integrated rural development. Fellowships are awarded to highly qualified individuals who demonstrate a deep interest and commitment towards economic development work and towards India. Applicants must be between 21 and 35, have an undergraduate degree prior to starting the program, and be a US citizen or permanent resident. Acceptance into the program is highly competitive and the program typically accepts around nine percent of applicants.
