I am a PhD Student in the Robotics Program at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, where I am working at the NEST Lab. Currently, my research interests are towards swarm-robotics, and how the energy demands of a swarm of robots can be met using the swarm infra-structure itself.

I am a Ph.D. student in Robotics Engineering at WPI. I work as a research assistant on Medical Image Processing & Robotic Ultrasound at Dr. Haichong Zhang's Medical FUSION Lab (Frontier Ultrasound Imaging & Robotic Instrumentation Lab). My research is based on utilizing AI/ML for ultrasound image classification and morphological prediction with applications in domains ranging from disease diagnosis, rehabilitation robotics, robotic teleoperation, and gaming. I've been increasingly incorporating advances in Computer Vision, Deep Learning, and AR/VR in my research. Prior to joining WPI, ...

Employment: Since 2008 I have been employed as a Senior Controls Engineer at General Dynamics Electric Boat, the U.S Navy's premiere submarine developers. During my employment I have held positions as a Lead System Engineer of Combat and Weapon Systems and Lead Controls Engineering Supporting U.S. Navy Special Programs. In my current role I lead a team of engineers responsible for the development and implementation of automatic control systems which support underwater robotics and Navy special programs. Vinayak Jagtap is a Ph.D. student in Robotics Engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute(WPI). Vinayak received his Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Pune University in 2006. After working in software industry for 7 years, he completed his Masters of Science in Robotics Engineering from WPI in May 2015. In spring and summer of 2016, he completed an internship at iRobot Inc. working on characterizing RF-based sensors for outdoor localization. Vinayak's areas of interest include Multi-robot / distributed systems and motion planning and control of humanoid robots.

I am currently a Ph.D. student in Robotics Engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. I received the B.E. degree in Computer Science and B.A. degree in English Language and Literature from Harbin Institute of Technology in 2014. In 2016, I graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute with the M.S. degree in Computer Science.

My name is Ming Luo. I am 5 year PhD Candidate from Robotics Engineering. My advisor is Prof. Cagdas. My research direction is soft robot, snake robot and artificial muscle.

I have received a BEng and a MSc from the Université Libre de Bruxelles. I joined WPI as a PhD student in Robotics in 2016. I work in the NEST lab and my area of interest is in swarm robotics.
