Pre-Collegiate Outreach Programs Staff

We have several full-time professional staff who work year round to plan and support summer programs and other outreach activities. During our programs, we get the entire WPI community involved, utilizing our faculty and coaches to instruct, and our undergraduate students to serve as counselors.

Sue is originally from Western Massachusetts but now live in the Worcester area. She is a WPI alumna with a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering and also holds a Master of Education degree from  Worcester State University. While working as an engineer,  Sue had some incredible opportunities which included working for companies that manufactured everything from space shuttle parts for NASA to carabineers for mountain climbing. Nicole joined WPI in January 2018 and is responsible for the TouchTomorrow festival, which is an annual event that introduces STEM and robotics to students K-12.  She is excited to be in a position that inspires children and opens new doors to opportunities for them.  Before coming to WPI, Nicole worked at UMass and various non-profit organizations. Andreas Armenis joined the Office of Pre-Collegiate Outreach Programs at WPI in 2019 as the Assistant Director of Pre-Collegiate Outreach Programs. In his role, he works to support the Office of Pre-Collegiate Outreach Programs in a variety of functional areas including marketing and communication, staffing and development, and K-12 outreach support initiatives. Stephanie joined the Office of Pre-Collegiate Outreach Programs in the spring of 2020 as the Project Lead The Way Professional Learning Lead. In this role she helps coordinate professional development for Massachusetts PLTW teachers as well as oversees the PLTW training that occurs every summer at WPI. Stephanie regularly visits PLTW classrooms across The Commonwealth providing teachers support and coaching.  Prior to becoming the PLTW lead at WPI, Stephanie was an elementary school teacher. Jenna's background is in secondary education where she always loved the interaction with students in the middle and high school grades. She has been in the Enrollment Management field for over 10 years. Jenna is passionate about her work in higher education because she is able to teach and mentor students who are looking to continue their education after high school. Jesse‚Äôs background involves elementary and middle school education through museum field trips.  He earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from Keene State College and a Masters of Arts in Art History from the University of Stony Brook.  Before coming to WPI, Jesse coordinated school group tours at the former Higgins Armory Museum and the Worcester Art Museum.  Through the creation of specialized tours offerings at the museums, he recognized the importance of the STEM pipeline and is thrilled to be working at WPI with children as they are introduced to Science, Tech ...
