Office of the President

Dear bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral graduates, and families and friends,

While this isn’t the Commencement week you’d imagined, there’s still much to celebrate. You’ve accomplished something incredible in its own right, made even more so by the circumstances under which it was completed. You should be proud of not only your achievements, but the resiliency, flexibility, and strength you’ve shown to get here.

When you first crossed Earle Bridge at the beginning of your WPI journey, it was with the knowledge that you’d cross it again on your way to becoming a WPI graduate. And you will. You’ll take the walk through campus to the Quad that’s been years in the making, the one you’ve been waiting for. In the meantime, I hope you’ll take a special one with me today.

I speak for the entire WPI community when I say that we couldn’t be prouder of you, Class of 2020. Congratulations. Celebrate—you’ve more than earned it—and we’ll see you again soon.

Sincerely,

Laurie Leshin

President
