Sarah Hernandez awarded the Huntington ’s Disease Society of America Berman Topper Career Development Fellowship

Sarah Hernandez was recently awarded the Huntington ’s Disease Society of America (HDSA) Berman Topper Career Development Fellowship. This is the second year the fellowship was awarded, which provides funding of $240,000 for 3 years, to a dedicated young scientist. Applicants from around the world competed for this award. Sarah, a former IGERT fellow is currently a postdoc, focusing on uncovering epigenetic differences between people with and without HD using ChIP-seq and RNA-seqin in Professor Thompson’s lab at the University of California, Irvine.
