Daymond will lead programs aimed at recruitment, retention, and achievement, to support WPI's dedication to inclusion, belonging, and student success. He will also lead ODIME's flagship initiatives, including the Connections Pre-Orientation Program and the First-Generation Success Program.

“I am thrilled to welcome Daymond to our growing community of equity‑driven practitioners at WPI. Daymond brings a breadth of expertise in student advocacy and community engagement that will be invaluable as we advance ODIME’s commitment to supporting students. His collaborative spirit, strategic mindset, and passion for creating inclusive environments will undoubtedly enhance student belonging on campus. I look forward to the meaningful contributions he will bring to our community.”

– Dr. Brittany Frederick (she/her), Director of ODIME

Designed to strengthen institutional efforts around inclusion and belonging, Daymond’s role reflects ODIME’s ongoing commitment to uplifting students from diverse backgrounds in STEM and beyond. Daymond will work closely with campus and community stakeholders to help ensure that all students feel empowered and connected throughout their WPI experience.

Daymond's higher education experience began at Lebanon Valley College (LVC) where he earned degrees in psychology and business administration. Following LVC, Daymond studied and clinically trained to become a certified school counselor in the state of Pennsylvania. Daymond has also served multiple years as a graduate assistant within the J. Jeffrey and Ann Marie Fox Graduate School's Office of Graduate Educational Engagement Programs. His work with graduate student recruitment and retention led him to pursue a doctoral degree in education policy studies with research interests in educational equity, educational narratives, and student affairs practice. Outside of academia, Daymond loves sports and physical activity, especially pick-up basketball. He is a Philadelphia Phillies, Los Angeles Chargers, and San Antonio Spurs fan!

“I’m excited to do this work at WPI because students are navigating the trials of everyday life, such as financial hardship, marginalization, and personal challenges, alongside their academic journeys. My commitment is to support them holistically as they grow and to help them develop their own sense of purpose and success beyond conventional paradigms. I am confident that we can make these goals take shape because WPI is supportive and forward-thinking.”
