Abstract:  Biological quadrupeds benefit from flexible spines, which can provide increased speed, agility, and adaptability to the environment. Despite these potential advantages, quadruped robots commonly have rigid spines. This presentation covers the design of a quadruped with a flexible spine based on the Origami Continuum Module developed by the WPI Soft Robotics Lab.
