Save the date! The Women in Data Science (WiDS) of Central Massachusetts planning committee is seeking volunteers for the Spring 2024 Conference and/or the Global Datathon Challenge hosted in person by Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
We have hosted this exciting regional event for the Central Massachusetts area (http://widscentralmass.org) for the past seven years, concurrent with the annual WiDS Conference at Stanford University and over 200 WiDS events all over the world. This one-day virtual event will bring together individuals from industry and academia to celebrate the contributions of women+ in Data Science from Central Massachusetts and beyond.
We cannot pull off this exciting event without the commitment and help of our volunteers. We are seeking volunteers with a variety of skills and interests- marketing, promotion/outreach, logistics, day of event facilitation, and more! All genders are invited to attend.
If you are interested in joining Prof. Elke Rundensteiner, Founding Head of the Data Science program at WPI and the WiDS Planning Committee, join us at one of the following information sessions:
- Tues., November 28th, 10:00am - 10:45am, Unity Hall 343 Conference Room
- Thurs., November 30th, 2:00pm - 2:45pm, Unity Hall 343 Conference Room
