The admissions funnel shows the number of undergraduate applicants, admitted applicants, enrolled students, admit rates, and yield rates for First-year Students and Transfer Students by intended major. Data on the previous colleges and the type of institutions from which our Transfer Students are coming are included.
Enrollment numbers are based on the WPI official fall census date (October 1st of each year). Dashboards show the current and historical trends of enrollment by attribute for different populations: All students, First-year Students, Pell Grant Recipients, Direct Subsidized Loan Recipients, Transfer Students, Undergraduate Students, or Graduate Students.
Departments & Majors
Dashboards display the majors and departments of enrolled students as of the WPI official fall census date (October 1st of each year). Dashboards include data on the most popular majors among different populations: All students, First-year Students, Pell Grant Recipients, Direct Subsidized Loan Recipients, Transfer Students, Undergraduate Students, or Graduate Students.
Where do our domestic undergraduate and graduate students call home? Where do our international students have citizenship? The dashboards list the top 10 states and countries from which our enrolled students come. Data on the distinct number of states/countries are included.
The degrees awarded are based on the timeframe of July 1st through June 30th of each year. The number of degrees awarded by level are displayed longitudinally. Degrees awarded by department can be filtered by attribute: Gender, Diversity Status, and Race. Degrees awarded by major shows the most popular majors by degree level.
Retention & Graduation Rates
Freshman-to-sophomore year retention rates and 4-year through 8-year graduation rates for First-year Cohorts, Pell Grant Recipients, and Direct Subsidized Loan Recipients. Filters are on Gender, Diversity Status, and Residency of the population at the first time they entered WPI.

Common Data Set
The Common Data Set (CDS) initiative is a collaborative effort among data providers in the higher education community and publishers. Data includes enrollment breakdowns, graduation and retention rates, admissions data, student financial aid, and faculty characteristics.
