WPI awards credit for certain International Baccalaureate (IB) HL (Higher Level) exams only with a score of 6 or 7; WPI does not award credit for International Baccalaureate (IB) SL (Standard Level) exams.  In order to receive IB credit, students must contact the International Baccalaureate and request that an original certificate of their exam scores be sent to the Registrar’s Office.  Please note:  scores included on a high school transcript are not considered official for IB credit review.

Upon receipt/verification of appropriate IB scores, the below corresponding credit will be posted to the students’ records.  The student will be notified via email upon posting of the credit; the IB credit will be graded with an “L” on the transcript.

*Please note:  only 1/3 of IB credit (or AP credit) can be used toward the WPI Humanities and Arts requirement.
