Campus Connect:

The WPI Business School welcomes alumni guest speakers and subject matter experts to share their insights on thematic topics with their students.

Small Group Discussions: Lead thematic, focused discussions with small groups of students. This setting allows for in-depth exploration of academic topics, career insights, and personal growth. These sessions can be tailored to specific subjects or areas of interest.

Panel Discussions: Participate in panel discussions featuring experts in your field. These discussions can be hosted within specific academic departments or encompass interdisciplinary topics, providing students with diverse perspectives.

Classroom Visits: Visit classrooms to share your real-world experiences and expertise with students. This interactive format enhances the academic curriculum and brings practical insights directly to the classroom.

Please let us know which of these engagement options resonates with you, and we will be delighted to facilitate your return to campus. Together, we can continue to foster a strong community of academic excellence and personal growth.

1:1 Mentoring

  • Students and mentors will be matched based on profiles. Sometimes it may be a group of 2-3 students
  • Mentors and mentees teams may be formed as a result of a conversation facilitated by faculty in a course (for e.g. BUS 2001 has a required 1:1 mentoring component) or through networking events facilitated through Business School events.
  • Mentoring sessions ideally comprise a set of 3 meetings based on mutual availability and interests for a total of three one-hour sessions set up over the course of a term.
  • Broad Discussion topics include short-term goals, internship and job preparation and success, long term goal setting, resume feedback and general mentorship.

Mentor in Residence

Join our Mentor-in-Residence Program and bridge the gap between academia and industry expertise. This exclusive initiative invites accomplished executives to collaborate with our institution, sharing real-world insights, mentorship, and strategic guidance. Through this dynamic exchange, participants enrich our students while refining their leadership skills and staying at the forefront of innovation.

Become a driving force in shaping the next generation of business leaders.

Engagement in the Mentor-in-Residence Program occurs in convenient blocks of time, providing flexibility for both participants and our students.

Mentors can choose between in-person sessions, fostering valuable face-to-face interactions and networking opportunities, or opt for online engagement, enabling seamless collaboration from anywhere in the world.
