For over a decade, Worcester Polytechnic Institute and UMass Memorial Medical Center have collaborated through the Physician Leadership Development Program (PLDP). This program was designed to equip physicians with the skills to take on leadership positions within healthcare practices and organizations.
Each year the program culminates in presentations where small groups of participants create sustainable solutions to solve challenges in healthcare. The event is in the style of Shark Tank ABC where the group's pitch their ideas to "sharks" in hopes their idea will be supported in the coming year(s).
This month, we were graciously welcomed by UMass Memorial Medical Center by President and CEO of UMass Memorial Health Eric Dickson MD and his amazing collection of "sharks!" And this year's cohort really brought it!
