Anup Ghosh, '91, Ph.D.
Managing Director at Accenture Security, Washington D.C. Metro Area
Dr. Ghosh earned a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Virginia after graduating with a BS in Electrical Engineering from WPI in 1991. Prior to founding and being CEO of Invincea, he was Program Manager at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) where he created and managed an extensive portfolio of cyber security programs.  Anup has published more than 40 peer-reviewed articles in cyber security journals and served on the Naval Studies Board and the Air Force Scientific Advisory Board.
 

Christopher Gillett

Mr. Gillett was previously Chief Technology Officer of Shareaholic, an award winning growth toolkit, designed to help websites grow traffic, engagement and monetization. After earning a BS in CS from Central Michigan University, Chris came east to patent an invention and make his mark in the Cambridge software world.

Christopher Herrick

Mr. Herrick leads all operational and technical staff who support the collection, consolidation, querying, and dissemination of clinical data from the research patient data registry (RPDR) to investigators across the enterprise. The RPDR contains more than 2 billion individual data points on close to 7 million patients.
 

Tom Kilkenny, '82
General Manager, Automotive, Aerospace and Defense at IBM, CT
Mr. Kilkenny is a WPI alumnus and is proud of his BS in Mechanical Engineering which launched his career into Aerospace Defense at IBM. He is currently General Manager at IBM, helping to improve enterprise efficiencies and drive revenue growth.
However, Tom will be best remembered at WPI as being 'among the all-time greatest wrestlers' and as such, has been inducted into the WPI Athletic Hall of Fame.

Dr. Kolluri earned a Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh, PA.  Venkat is the CEO of Cidewalk.com, a premium geofence enabled mobile advertising company and ZipLyfe.com, a location based on-demand home services mobile platform. Venkat also co-founded Chitika.com, the parent company of Cidewalk and Krosslink.Org, an entrepreneurial program empowering public libraries.

Shawn Murphy, MD, Ph.D., FACMI
Director of Research Computing and Informatics at Partners Healthcare and
Director for the Laboratory of computer Science at Massachusetts General Hospital

Dr. Murphy holds a BS in chemistry from Notre Dame, and an MD and Ph.D. in Neurobiology from the University of Chicago. After a medicine internship at Beth Israel in Boston, he undertook a neurology residency, epilepsy fellowship, and computer science fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Murphy joined the faculty of the Laboratory for Computer Science at MGH and serves as an attending neurologist and instructor in medicine at Harvard. Dr. Murphy's informatics interests have centered on the use of clinical data to support research and has designed ‘complex adaptive systems’ with mobile software agents to organize the unstructured elements of electronic medical records into formats that are usable for research purposes. He is the director of the Partners Research Patient Data Registry.


Pavel Ozhogin, Ph.D.
Director, Data Science at National Grid
Dr. Ozhogin has a passion for discovering actionable insights from data coupled with process improvement expertise. Pavel co-developed a Predictive Storm Damage Model with MIT to predict power outages 5 – 7 days before a major weather event. The impact of the model should be shorter restoration times through better resource decisions and deployment before an event.
 

Paul Pilotte
Technical Marketing Manager at The MathWorks
Paul earned both a BSEE and an MSEE in Electrical Engineering from MIT, and an MBA from Babson College Franklin W. Olin Graduate School of Business.  His work as Technical Marketing Manager at The MathWorks involves hiring and coaching teams of product managers who in turn lead business development and technical marketing efforts to grow MATLAB adoption in data analytics, machine learning, computational finance and computational biology.
 

Les Servi, Ph.D.
Group Leader, Operations Research, The MITRE Corporation
Dr. Servi earned an Sc.B/Sc.M. in Applied Mathematics from Brown University, and an MS and Ph.D. in Engineering from Harvard University. Les is an informs (Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences) speaker and gives lectures on analyzing social media data having discontinuous underlying dynamics.  Currently he is Group Leader, Operations Research, The MITRE Corporation.
