In addition to core courses, a wide variety of elective choices allows you to customize this graduate certificate to your career and ambitions.

Admissions Qualifications

Students with bachelor’s degrees in areas such as architecture, management engineering, and civil engineering technology are normally accepted to this program. Professional exposure to design and construction activities is highly desired. Additional requirements for international applicants as imposed by the department of civil and environmental engineering apply. Work history will be considered if you include a resume in your application.

Certificate Requirements 

The Construction Project Management graduate certificate requires 4 courses (12 credit hours) that are determined in conjunction with an academic advisor. View academic term start dates for online courses.

Required Course

  • CE 580. Advanced Project Management

At least one of the following:

  • CE 584. Advanced Cost Estimating Procedures
  • CE 587. Building Information Modeling (BIM)

Remaining elective credits will consist of graduate level coursework that is related to Construction Project Management in any of the following*:

  • Math
  • Science
  • Engineering
  • Business
  • System Dynamics
