The WPI minor in Management Information Systems offers you the opportunity to broaden your skill set for relevance in the business world. The driving force behind the new way of doing business, information technology has helped companies improve productivity, open new markets and channels, and create new products and services.  While one part of the information revolution has been advances in hardware, and another has been advances in software, a third major advance has been in the systems side of information, or how information is organized and used to make effective decisions. 

 

Curriculum

The Management Information Systems minor requires the completion of six courses in the areas of programming, business and systems analysis. Visit the undergraduate catalog to learn about course options.

Application Process

To declare a Management Information Systems minor, first fill out the Minor Declaration Form and submit electronically to business-prog-office@wpi.edu. We will forward the completed form to the Registrar’s office. 
 
The Minor Completion Form should be completed by October 1st of senior year, regardless of completion of courses. Please submit the form electronically to business-prog-office@wpi.edu. We will forward the completed form to the Registrar’s office.
