WPI Inaugural Deans' International Scholars Seminar to Feature South African AIDS Researcher Debra Meyer

WPI will host the Inaugural Deans' International Scholars Seminar at noon, Tuesday, Dec. 14, in the Campus Center's Hagglund Room. The event will feature Professor Debra Meyer of the University of Pretoria in South Africa as the keynote speaker. Meyer is an AIDS researcher and will speak to race relations and the importance of language and culture in post-Apartheid South Africa. 

Professor Meyer will also deliver a lecture at 4 p.m. titled "Developing Novel HIV Therapeutics and NMR Metabonomics for Disease Management" at the WPI Life Sciences and Bioengineering Center (LSBC) at Gateway Park, as part of the LSBC lecture series. The lecture will take place in Room 1002.
