So many of us delay projects in the category of "important but not urgent" in favor of work that is urgent and has built-in accountability (like preparing tomorrow's lecture or showing up for a committee meeting).

The 14-Day Writing Challenge organized by the NCFDD is a great way to build a habit of making daily progress-- just 30 minutes every weekday-- on any scholarly work that's important or exciting to you. Maybe that's a journal article or book chapter, but it could also be preparing a D-term course, reflective journaling, long-term planning, checking out conference opportunities, starting a teaching portfolio, connecting with mentors, or applying for something.

The Spring 2024 Challenge runs from February 26th – March 10th, 2024, and the registration deadline is February 16. Learn more and register here.

WPI is an institutional member of the NCFDD, and all faculty, post-docs, graduate students, and staff can access this program free of charge. See the Morgan Center website for instructions on how to create a NCFDD user account.
